BAYONNE, NJ - Two men have been arrested and third is being sought in an alleged armed robbery on July 17.
According to Lt. Eric Amato, the incident took place at approximately 12:03 a.m. when two Brooklyn men drove to 300 Constitution Avenue to complete the purchase of two Apple watches that they had claimed on Facebook Marketplace.
Upon arrival, the report states, one of the suspects approached the men and asked them to follow him to Flagship Street to complete the transaction. Once on Flagship Street the victims refused the suspect’s request that they follow him into a building leading the man to leave briefly and return with two additional males.
One of the males, the suspects reported, was carrying a handgun and pressed it against one of the victim’s ribs, demanding that he surrender his money and cell phone. Once the victim complied, and turned over $600 in cash, the suspects fled the scene.
Once on scene, the Bayonne Police Detective Bureau immediately launched a “detailed and pragmatic investigation” leading to the indentification of Abanoub Guirges, Michael Ebrahim-Gerges, and Andrew Guirges as the suspects.
While Abanoub Guirges and Ebrahim-Gerges were apprehended the next day, Andrew Guirges is still being sought.
