BAYONNE, NJ - An 18-year-old Jersey City man was arrested Monday after members of the Bayonne Police Department caught him swimming in the DiDomenico Pool without permission.

According to Captain Eric Amato, officers responded to the area at approximately 5:42 p.m. on a report of trespassers. Upon arrival offices located a man, later identified as Jeremiah A. Footman, in the pool and ordered him to remain as they attempted to gain entry.

Footman is said to have disregarded their commands and attempted to jump the fence and flee before he was apprehended. The report continues that Footman resisted arrest by refusing to show, and laying on, his hands as he reached for his waistband.
