BAYONNE, NJ - Two Jersey City men were arrested Tuesday after allegedly attempting to steal five smart phones from Wal Mart.
According to Lt. Eric Amato, Alexander V. Pham, 31, and Rovi R. Sese were observed using a device to remove security tags from the unopened phones and then attempting to conceal them in motor oil boxes they took off a store shelf.
A store loss prevention agent apprehended the men when they left the store. An on-scene investigation by the Bayonne Police Department is said to have led to the further recovery of two credit cares from Pham that did not belong to him.
Both men were charged with shoplifting and possession of burglar’s tools while Pham was further charged with credit card theft.
