BAYONNE, NJ - Two Jersey City men, one allegedly armed with a handgun, were arrested by members of the Bayonne Police Department Wednesday after two victims reported being robbed.
According to Sergeant Daniel Murphy the first suspect, Kaysean Murphy, approached the victims at approximately 8:25 p.m. in the area of East 51st Street and requested a lighter to light a cigarette. As he did, the second suspect, Keishaun Blake, is said to have approached and shoved a handgun into one of the victim’s stomach, demanding that he remove the items from his pocket.
Both suspects fled the scene at which point the victims contacted the Bayonne Police Department. Patrol units, Sgt. Murphy said in the statement, responded immediately and spotted the suspects at the 45th Street Light Rail Station where they were identified and placed under arrest.
Both Blake and Murphy were charged with robbery while Blake faces additional charges related to the possession of a weapon.
