BAYONNE, NJ - Three Jersey City teenagers were arrested Monday after allegedly breaking into Channel Wireless at 802 Broadway through the front window and stealing 15 iphones Monday.

According to a statement by Lt. Eric Amato, members of the Bayonne Police Department were first alerted to the incident at just after 11:00 p.m. when they stopped the owner of the store for speeding. When he was approached by officers, the driver informed them that he as responding to his store after receiving an alert on his phone that his store was actively being burglarized. 

Responding officers immediately broadcast the information and numerous officers responded to the store. Once on scene officers are said to have observed multiple actors inside the closed store.

The female suspect, 17, fled the scene and led the officers on a brief foot chase before being apprehended on East 37th Street.

Continuing to search the area, officers located the other two juveniles, both 13, one inside the store. The female is said to have been carrying 4 iPHones while police also found 11 cell phones and numerous items of phone charging equipment in one of the boy’s backpacks.

Police also recovered three bicycles that were determined not to be owned by the three suspects.

All three suspects have been charged with burglary and theft.
