BAYONNE, NJ - A 48-year-old Jersey City man was arrested Wednesday after members of the Bayonne Police Department responded to Super Spin Laundromat, 1 Lefante Way, at approximately 10:30 a.m. on the report of an unattended child whose caregiver was sitting outside in a minivan.
Once on scene police located the child and her grandfather, Robert Glover, inside the business. During the investigation, officers recovered several glassine packets of heroin and a glass pipe used to smoke narcotics in Glover's possession and in his vehicle, some of which were unsecured and easily accessible by the child.
Glover, also found to have an active warrant out of Hillside, was placed under arrest and the child was transported to the Bayonne Medical Center to be evaluated as a precaution. The child's mother was notified of the incident and responded to the medical center.
