KEARNY, NJ -- Following their first loss of the season on Saturday the Bayonne Girls Basketball team was back to their winning ways Tuesday when they established a nine-point lead after one quarter and went on to a 57-37 victory over Kearny.

Sophomore point guard Eniya Scott finished with 20 points, nine assists, seven rebounds and four steals for Bayonne (11-1), which led, 30-20, at halftime after breaking out to a 17-9 lead after a quarter.

Makoye Diawara collected 19 points, 19 rebounds, three assists, three steals and three blocks for the Bees, who also got eight points and three assists from Jada Phillips.
