JERSEY CITY, NJ -- Bayonne ran out to a 17-point lead after one quarter and went on to record a 56-22 girls basketball victory over St. Dominic on Saturday.

Makoye Diawara and Eniya Scott each scored 15 points for the Bees (19-2), who led, 24-7, after one quarter and 35-12 at halftime.

Diawara grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds, Scott passed for five assists and made four steals, and Mary Grace Lavin totaled 10 points and eight rebounds for Bayonne, which has won eight consecutive games since its last loss on Jan. 16, 46-45, to Hudson Catholic.
