TRENTON, NJ — Two-way traffic on Corlies Avenue in Allenhurst is scheduled to be closed at the railroad crossing between Main Street and Lake Drive, beginning at 8 a.m. on Thursday, May 4, until 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 11,
The existing railroad crossing will be removed and replaced with a new concrete crossing and asphalt approaches, according to the N.J. Department of Transportation (DOT).
Traffic detours will be coordinated with the local police. If work is completed earlier, the roadway will be reopened accordingly.
This federally funded project is included within DOT’s railroad grade-crossing safety program which repairs, upgrades, or removes approximately 30 crossings each year across the state.
