BELMAR, NJ — Wth summer heating up, Beach Haus Brewery in Belmar boasts a cool selection of more than 20 beers on tap every day — to be enjoyed in its upstairs glass-enclosed taproom or open-air deck.

In fact, the brewery is the only establishment in this seashore community where patrons can get spectacular birds-eye views of the downtown district and the nearby Belmar marina — directly from the second floor of its landmark location at Main Street and Eighth Avenue.

“Summer’s here and I’m loving that outdoor deck!” said Beach Haus taproom and events manager Steve Tichenor. “We put new tables, chairs and umbrellas out there last year, and this year we added even more tables and some palm trees. There's always a nice cross breeze on our deck with a great view of Main Street.”

What’s more, the summer offerings are rolling in. “Our New England IPA, Swell, is back on tap, and our milkshake IPA, Belmartian, is on the way, along with new radler flavors,” Tichenor said, referring to beer-and-juice blends that have been added in refreshing grapefruit, key lime and strawberry. “There’s a beer for everybody here.”

And that’s because there is always something new brewing at Beach Haus Brewery, which recently captured top honors for two of its craft beers at this year’s highly acclaimed Atlantic City Beer and Music Fest.

At the helm of its 30-barrel brew house is lead brewer Matthew Pipkin, who mastered the art and science of craft brewing on the West Coast — the epicenter of this growing industry.

He and brewing team members Dylan Kohan and Logan Smith are always looking at emerging trends in craft brewing and feedback from patrons to formulate new beers and refine longtime favorites. Its widely known Test Dept.™ release events provide customers with that opportunity — to sample the newest beers and tell the team what they think.

Beach Haus Brewery welcomes all guests age 21 and older, and guests under age 21 are welcome if accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Beach Haus is a BYOF (bring your own food) establishment, and most beers are available in kegs, cans or bottles to-go. Its spacious, 4,000-square-foot taproom also can accommodate private events for up to 300 guests any day of the week.

And while you’re at Beach Haus Brewery, don’t forget to take a tour of the brewhouse, where every brew has a story.
