BELMAR NJ — Beach Music Studios will showcase its rockin’ young talent on Saturday, April 6 at the Beach Haus Brewery during its fifth annual Spring Concert Scholarship Fundraiser.

The family event, to be held from noon to 3 p.m., will feature the Beach Music Rock Band — a crowd-pleasing group of musicians age 8 through 18 who are students of the Belmar-based music studio.

And making its debut appearance at the annual concert will be Beach Music’s A Capella Group, an ensemble of students age 11 through 16 who will display their harmonizing skills.

“We’re once again welcoming spring with awesome music from our students at an amazing location to support music education at the Jersey Shore,” said musician Danny White, owner of Beach Music Studios. “Our spring concert gives our students a way to display their talents — for a good cause.”

All proceeds will benefit Beach Music’s Scholarship Program, which provides eligible students with one full year of music lessons and a musical instrument free of charge.

“Through our scholarship program, we give students who want to further their musical education that first step toward pursuing their dreams in the world of music,” White said.

In fact, this year’s concert will feature a special performance by 2019 BMS scholarship recipient Chris Clara, an eighth-grader at Belmar Elementary School, who has been singing since the third grade. As part of his award, he received a cordless microphone to help him prepare for his audition to attend the Red Bank Regional’s Performing Arts Academy next school year.

The fundraiser will be held in the spacious second-floor taproom of the Beach Haus Brewery, which offers panoramic views of Belmar’s shopping district and even a glimpse of the nearby Belmar Marina from its outdoor deck.

“Danny has been doing this event at Beach Haus since we opened and it always brings out a great local crowd for an afternoon of fun that supports a great cause,” said Steve Tichenor, taproom and event manager at Beach Haus. “Beach Music Studios is right here next door to us, so we’re always happy to help out a neighbor.”

Open to people of all ages, the fundraiser will feature a host of giveaways and raffles with prizes donated by area businesses. Tickets are priced at $25 for persons age 21 and over, and include a complimentary pint of Beach Haus craft beer. There is no charge for person age 17 and under.

Beach Haus Brewery is located at 801 Main Street — on the corner of Eighth Avenue and Main Street.

Tickets are available at Beach Music Studios, 808 Belmar Plaza, Belmar, or can be purchased on the day of the event. For more information, call Beach Music Studios at 732-280-1181 or
