BELMAR, NJ — Artwork inspired by the color blue is the theme for this year’s Youth Art Exhibit, currently on display at the Belmar Arts Center.

And for the 73 young artists participating in the show, the color conjured up a wide range of emotions, objects and waterscapes, using a variety of mediums — from painting, drawing and photography to sculpture and ceramics. In its third year, the Belmar Arts Council exhibit features artwork submitted by students from throughout New Jersey, with the farthest away being Bergen County.

Capturing the Best of Show was Nicole S. of Manchester with her string-art on plywood titled “Eye See You.”
