BELMAR, NJ — Photographers are invited to participate in the Belmar Arts Center’s fall juried exhibit that has one requirement: All entries must be 13x19 inches, either horizontally or vertically, but the image itself can be any size.
Only 50 images will be chosen for the “13x19: A Photo Exhibition,” which will be on display from Wednesday, October 17 to Friday, November 16. There will be $1,000 in cash awards in both adult and youth (17 and under) categories.
Serving as jurors for the show are Merry Brennan, an award-winning digital artist, writer and educator who has been active in the art world for more than 30 years, and Freddy Clark, a “photographer, podcaster, teacher, partner, father, and craft beer lover.”
The online deadline to enter is Wednesday, October 10 at 11:59 p.m. The registration form must be completed by each entrant and include a digital image of the entries. Click here for the entry form.
The entry submission deadline of the actual prints — unframed without mats — is Saturday, October 13. They can be hand-delivered between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. to the Belmar Arts Center, 608 River Road, Belmar, NJ, or they need to be mailed by that date to Coastal Pixels, 37 East End Avenue, Avon-By-The-Sea, NJ, 07717, to the attention of Beverly R. Miller. She can also be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The exhibit is open to all artists with a maximum of three submitted pieces. All works entered must be original creations by the artist and not previously exhibited at the Belmar Arts Center.
An opening reception will be held on Saturday, October 20 from 5 to 7 p.m. Gallery hours are 1 to 5 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday.
