Belmar Elementary School: Class Bringing in Most Box Tops for Education Wins Halloween Treat

BELMAR, NJ — Belmar Elementary School is once again collecting Box Tops for Education, setting three dates to turn in box tops to raise funds for the school and win a prize for a school class.

“Clipping Box Tops is an easy way to help earn cash for our school,” said Belmar PTO’s Tara Morton, coordinator of the fundraising campaign.  “Just look for the pink Box Tops on hundreds of products. All you have to do is clip them and send them to school. Each one is worth 10 cents for Belmar Elementary School.”

Last year, the school earned $745 from General Mills’ Box Tops program, and has set this year’s goal at $1,000.

Box tops, both current and expired, can be turned in at any time before the first collection date of Friday, October 27. The class collecting the most box tops will win a special Halloween treat.

When sending in clipped Box Tops, make sure the teacher’s name for the earning class is clearly marked on the envelope or bag. The other collection dates are February 23, and May 31, 2018.
