BELMAR, NJ — Looking for a unique gift for a Belmar history buff? Belmar Historical Society will host a holiday pop-up shop on Saturday, December 14 from 1 to 3 p.m. at its museum located at 900 E Street.

Among the items to be featured include enlarged reproductions of Belmar postcards; “Memories of Belmar” books, which contain personal memories recounted by longtime Belmar residents; and “Images of Belmar,” Volumes I and II, which give a pictorial history of the borough, founded as Ocean Beach. In fact, a favorite piece of Belmar history from the very beginning — a reproduction of the borough’s 1895 map — will be available for purchase.

In digging out its closet, BHS has found other items in limited supplies, including vintage New Jersey Seafood Festival T-shirts, World War I Doughboy T-shirts and an 1889 framed map of Belmar, as well as vintage holiday postcards and other treasures, such as old bottles and magazines.
