BELMAR, NJ — A raid by Belmar Police today resulted in the arrest of two persons at the Belmar Motor Lodge on multiple drug charges, including possession and distribution of heroin and crack cocaine.
Sharek White, 44, and Alexis Mistretta, 34, were arrested in their room at the Route 35 hotel after police executed a search warrant and found the suspects in possession of crack cocaine, heroin, packaging material, a scale, hypodermic needles and other pieces of drug paraphernalia, according to Belmar police in a statement.
White and Mistretta were charged with two counts of possession with the intent to distribute heroin and crack cocaine. White was charged with a total of 11 narcotic-related offenses, which also included a charge for certain persons not to have weapons and possession of a substance believed to be crystal methamphetamine. According to public records, White was convicted of drug distribution charges in 2016 in Ocean County.
Mistretta was charged with a total of nine narcotic-related charges.
Other than stating White and Mistretta had been residing at the Belmar Motor Lodge for several months, there was no other information released on the pair.
White and Mistretta remain at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, Freehold, in lieu of bail pending a court hearing.
It is the second drug bust in less than a month for the Belmar police. On February 1, Zachary Long, 32, was arrested at his 12th Avenue home and charged with 18 narcotic-related offenses after police seized a multitude of drugs and a large sum of cash.
