BELMAR/LAKE COMO, NJ — Belmar is putting out the call to the public for donations of personal protective equipment for health care workers and first-responders.
In response to the critical need for PPE during the coronavirus outbreak, a collection effort is under way of unopened surgical and dust masks (types N95 and NN), medical gowns, Tyvek suits and medical gloves, as well as disinfectant wipes.
These items can be dropped off at the Belmar Municipal Building, 601 Main Street — in the front lobby from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The rest of the building is closed to the public during the current declaration of emergency.
The supplies will be donated to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune.
For more information or to set up an appointment to drop off items during off-hours or on weekends, email Belmar Fire Administrator/Fire Marshal Ryan Dullea at email@example.com
