WALL, NJ — The Christmas Light Show will illuminate the grounds of The All New McCann’s Restaurant at Spring Meadow Golf Course for the last time tonight at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m.

Back by popular demand after its grand return this month, the 25-minute show will burst in some 80,000 lights and displays synchronized to music on December 22. Santa and his elves will also be on hand with local musicians to perform before each show.

All parking will be provided in a designated area at Spring Meadow Golf Course, 4185 Atlantic Avenue in Wall — about a one-minute walk from the restaurant. (Please see box below for details.)

The charity event, which has not been held for two years after outgrowing its Woolley Road location, is once again being orchestrated by a talented team led by brothers Daniel and Brian of Lake Como.

“We promise the show will have all the charm, amazement and community feel as the shows from the last 11 years,” said Daniel Brateris, president of Raising4 Inc. a nonprofit group that was created by the show’s producers to continue their charitable work.

“The show will be newly programmed and incorporate many of our fans' favorite songs and effects, including tens of thousands of lights, pyrotechnics and computerized effects — all synchronized to concert quality sound,” said Daniel Brateris, who is director of experiential learning and a professor of electrical and computer engineering technology at the New Jersey Institute of Technology.

Quite of bit of talent and expertise go into this dazzling holiday extravaganza. While Dan Brateris offers his unique perspective on technical and creative design, brother Brian, a clinical physiotherapist in Spring Lake, serves as artistic director.

Both have been with the show from the beginning, along with Trevor Ferguson of Bridgewater, an electrical and computer with a master's degree in engineering management from Rowan University.

Other local volunteer members of this year’s crew include: lighting technician Mike Roberti of Belmar and safety director Matt Pinella, whose former Wall home was the site of the first Christmas Light Show held in 2004, using just a few lights and a computer.

While the show is free, donations will be accepted to support Raising4’s longtime beneficiary of The Christmas Light Show — RallyCap Sports, a nonprofit organization that sponsors recreational sports programs and facilities for children and young adults with special needs.

In past years, show attendees and supporters have contributed tens of thousands of dollars to the group.

In order to ensure The Christmas Light Show is enjoyed by all, organizers are asking all attendees to abide by the following parking rules:

All parking is located at Spring Meadow Golf Course, 4185 Atlantic Avenue, Wall. All attendees must drive to the event, park in the designated parking lot and take a one-minute walk to the show. Please arrive 20 to 30 minutes prior to show time and dress warm. Carpooling is strongly recommended.

In the event of poor weather, the show may be rescheduled. Visit www.TheChristmasLightShow.com after 2 p.m. on the day of the show for status information. For the latest details on the show, visit its Facebook page.
