The curriculum, led by certified instructors, focuses on safety, fun and learning, adhering to U.S. Sailing Association standards.

The Shark River Discovery Camp gives youngsters age 7 to 11 the opportunity to explore the sport of sailing, without the pressure of an instructional program. Camp activities may include kayaking, eco-arts and crafts, Menger Cat sailing, learning to understand tides and currents, a beach clean-up, starfish hunting, swimming and more.

Weekly sessions of both the Junior Sailing Program and Shark River Discovery Camp are held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.

For the Junior Sailing Program, the cost is regularly $325, but $275 if registering by April 1. For the Shark River camp, cost is regularly $275, but $225 if registering by April 1. Visit www.fobhnj.org to register for either program.
