TRENTON, NJ — Route 33 in Neptune Township will be fully closed for utility work between Neptune Boulevard and Route 35, beginning at 9 p.m. Friday, May 19 to 5 a.m. Monday, May 22.
The sanitary sewer infrastructure work is part of the North Taylor Avenue, Washington Avenue and Union Avenue sanitary improvements project — a partnership between Neptune Township and Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, according to the N.J. Department of Transportation (DOT). The work is being performed by LF Driscoll Co., Bala Cynwyd, Pa., and V.A. Spatz & Sons Heavy Construction, Berkeley Heights..
The traffic detours will be coordinated by the Neptune Township Police Department along the one-mile stretch of road affected by the project — just east of Jersey Shore Medical Center.
Construction message signs are being utilized throughout the project limits to provide advance notification to motorists of all traffic pattern changes associated with the sewer installation work,
