FREEHOLD, NJ — Five days of good old-fashioned fun are on tap for the 45th annual Monmouth County Fair, which will be held on Wednesday, July 24 to Sunday, July 28 at the East Freehold Showgrounds.
Plenty is planned for the entire family — from amusement rides, carnival games, live entertainment and food galore to a host of features that focus on the county’s agricultural amenities, including locally grown produce, a home and garden competition, petting farm, and 4-H animal shows and exhibits.
In addition, county employees will be distributing information about departmental services, as well as giving demonstrations and answering questions at a tent located just inside the fair’s front entrance at 1500 Kozloski Road.
Fair hours are as follows:
- Wednesday, July 24 through Friday, July 26 from 5 to 11 p.m.
- Saturday, July 27 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- Sunday, July 28 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Admission is $8 per person. There is no charge for children age 12 and under. On Sunday, July 28, seniors age 65 and over and active military members with identification will be admitted for free.
The fair presented by the Monmouth County Park System in cooperation with the County 4-H Association.
