North Jersey Man Convicted of Sexual Assault in Belmar

FREEHOLD, NJ — A Bergen County man has been found guilty of second-degree sexual assault on a woman in Belmar in 2014.

Edward Terragni III, 36, of Wallington was recently convicted by a Monmouth County jury of committing an act of sexual penetration on a 29-year old female on August 11, 2014 in the borough, according to Charles Webster, spokesman for the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.

Terragni faces five to 10 years in prison when he is sentenced in July. He was represented by Richard Lomurro and Crystal Ullrich of the Freehold-based Lomurro Law Firm. Neither attorney could be reached for comment to confirm press reports that an appeal is being considered.
