BELMAR/LAKE COMO, NJ — Here is the June 6 primary election vote breakdown for borough council seats in Belmar and Lake Como.

For the three-year seat on the Belmar council, Democrat incumbent Thomas Brennan received 265 votes and Republican Josh Vallario, who lost a council bid last fall, tallied 140 votes.

In Lake Como, Democrat incumbents Kevin Higgins and John Carvelli received 80 and 73 votes, respectively, to run for another three-year term each. Christopher D’Antuono, who was appointed to the council post vacated by Michael Noonan in January and is vying for the unexpired one year left on that term, garnered 86 votes.

Of interest to those in Lake Como, Mayor Brian Wilton, one of two Democratic candidates seeking seats on the Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders, received 21,115 votes, as running mate Margaret Donlon tallied 22,164 votes.They are challenging on the GOP ticket incumbent Lillian Burry, who is seeking her fifth term, and Patrick G. Impreveduto, Holmdel deputy mayor, who is seeking the seat now held by Gary Rich, who did not seek re-election after serving two terms on the board.
