Stockton Students Step It Up for Relay for Life

GALLOWAY, NJ — Stockton University students who hail from Monmouth County joined their classmates to participate yesterday in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.

The Stockton Sports Center was transformed into pirate-themed indoors “campgrounds,” where teams of volunteers set up campsites for the 12-hour fundraiser. During that time, team members took turns walking around a track, making sure to have a member on the track at all times to signify that cancer never sleeps. Relay for Life Stockton University is expected to reach its $35,000 goal for the ACS’s signature fundraising event.
