BELMAR, NJ — The Belmar Boat Show will make its debut on Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14 at the Belmar Manutti Marina — one of the Jersey Shore’s premier destinations for boating, fishing and a host of water sports.
The free two-day event, to be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., will feature some 45 boats offered by several major boat dealers, a marketplace for mariners and much more — all overlooking the Shark River at the picturesque marina, located at 905 Route 35 and just a five-minute trip by boat to the ocean.
Learn more about the state-of-the-art marina, which offers 300 boat slips for seasonal and transient docking, a dual boat ramp, a full-service fuel dock, among a wide range of other amenities for boaters and water enthusiasts looking to stay for the season, enjoy a vacation or spend the weekend.
Information will also be available on the marina’s party and charter/dive boat fleet — one of the largest in New Jersey — and kayak, personal watercraft and fishing boat rentals.
"Following the repairs after Sandy and the completion of the 9th Avenue Pier, the miniature golf course and the Marina Grille, it was time to showcase the Manutti marina."
— Belmar Harbor Commission Chairman Robert Lynch
And because the marina is just short distance from Belmar’s bustling downtown district and popular beachfront, various establishments will showcase their diverse offerings during the boat show, including Big Frog Custom T-Shirts & More, Eastern Lines Surf Shop, The Endless SUP Co. and West Marine.
The inaugural show is being presented by the Belmar Business Partnership (BBP) and Seaport Inlet Marina, with the support of the Belmar Harbor Commission, whose representatives will be available to answer questions about the marina, which is the Shark River basin’s largest harbor.
The harbor commission floated the idea of a boat show at the Manutti marina a few years ago, said commission chairman Robert Lynch. "Following the repairs after Sandy and the completion of the 9th Avenue Pier, the miniature golf course and the Marina Grille, it was time to showcase the Manutti marina," he said.
"A thank-you goes out to Mayor Mark Walsifer, the Belmar Business Partnership and the Seaport Inlet Marina for coming together and making the boat show happen," Lynch added.
