LAKE COMO, NJ — Hundreds recently gathered along the glistening “jewel” of the Borough of Lake Como to celebrate community with their friends, family and neighbors.
After days of rain and dreary skies, the sun returned and beamed brightly onto Lake Como, which provided a stunning backdrop for the 23rd annual Lake Como Day on September 29.
A host of activities stretched along the northern banks of the lake, including merchants selling an array of handcrafted items and other products, community organizations offering information about their services, and food vendors boasting a variety of food choices.
And of course, a Lake Como Day wouldn’t be complete without the special activities for children, which this year included a giant slide and a train that traveled along North Boulevard throughout the day.
At sunset, a kaleidoscope of fireworks bursting over the lake culminated the traditional event. See below for a highlight.
