BELMAR, NJ — With sunny skies returning this weekend, Waves on Main is the perfect spot to enjoy brunch, lunch or dinner, right in the heart of downtown Belmar.

The restaurant occupies a landmark location at the corner of Main Street and 10th Avenue — nestled among the shopping district’s many shops, in walking distance of the train station, and just blocks from the Belmar marina and beach.

“We love our customers and want them to be happy. And we’re so happy to be part of the Belmar community,” says owner Kathy Farese, who along with husband Lou owned Kathy and Lou’s Kitchen in Manasquan before opening Waves on Main last fall. “Dining should be relaxing, not rushed, experienced in a comfortable atmosphere. And that’s what you’ll find at Waves on Main. ”

Lunch offerings include small plates of such favorites as fried calamari and garlic shrimp, as well as a flavorful assortment of salads and sandwiches. And of course, no Waves menu would be complete without chef Lou’s daily specials, like Texas pulled pork or a thick and juicy Angus burger.

For dinner, Waves on Main’s contemporary coastal American cuisine is a blend of classic seafood, steak and chicken entrees, each prepared to order and served with a house salad or soup.

Appetizers run the gamut — from marinated beef tenderloin skewers and chicken wings to bacon-wrapped scallops and coconut shrimp.
