BELMAR, NJ — Waves on Main is celebrating Independence Day with a plethora of patriotic menu specials.

“Nothing is more American than baby back ribs, Texas pulled pork and rib-eye steaks,” said Kathy Farese, who along with her husband and chef Lou, own the landmark restaurant at the corner of Main Street and 10th Avenue.

“Our special Fourth of July menu is full of classic favorites. We even have hot dogs and Angus cheeseburgers on our popular lunch menu,” she said. “Whether you’d like to dine inside or on our outside patio, the pleasure is always ours to specially prepare meals for our guests.”

For those who enjoy lighter fare, there is arugula salad with fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers and onions, or the new fruit and greens salad, which combines seasonal berries, melon and blue cheese, splashed with raspberry vinaigrette.

On the seafood side, Kathy Farese also recommends the soft-shell crabs, breaded and pan-seared in a specially prepared house sauce, or a pasta dish, such as Italian sausage with broccoli rabe and roasted red peppers served atop penne.

Located at 1000 Main Street on the corner of 10th Avenue in Belmar, Waves on Main is open Tuesday through Friday for lunch and dinner, and Saturday and Sunday, for brunch, lunch and dinner.
