BELMAR, NJ — It may be time for summer’s swan song, but there is still plenty of music to enjoy at Waves on Main, the go-to destination for fine dining and entertainment.

“Come and celebrate Labor Day weekend with us,” said Kathy Farese, who owns the landmark restaurant at the corner of 10th Avenue and Main Street with her husband and chef Lou Farese. “We have a full weekend of live entertainment, and chef Lou and his staff have been busy in the kitchen getting ready for the holiday weekend. Why go anywhere else when we have it all at Waves on Main.”

Singer/songwriter Joshua Van Ness will perform for the first time at Waves on Main on Sunday, September 3 beginning at 7 p.m. He’s been a longtime favorite on the Central Jersey music circuit, known for his musical talent on the guitar and telling his story in song.

It’s also time to sit back and enjoy a relaxing meal with plenty of choices on Waves on Main’s menu of contemporary coastal American cuisine. From appetizers, salads and small plates to a full selection of classic seafood, steak and chicken entrees, each meal is specially prepared to order — and that’s what separates Waves on Main from many other nearby establishments.

For dessert, select from the sweet and sumptuous creations of Deescakes of Freehold, including key lime tart, butter rum bundt cake and its highly acclaimed cheesecake.

Waves on Main is conveniently located in Belmar’s central shopping district, nestled among its many shops, in walking distance of the train station, and just blocks from the Belmar marina and beach.

It is open Tuesday through Thursday from 2 to 9 p.m., on Saturday from 2 to 11 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.  While it’s closed on Monday, except for Labor Day, the Fareses will make an exception for anyone who would like to book the 150-seat restaurant for a party or special gathering.
