Waves on Main: Where an Evening of Fine Dining and Live Entertainment is Sure to Please

BELMAR, NJ — Enjoy a relaxing dinner and live entertainment by musicians making their debut appearance at Waves on Main this weekend.

Local favorite CMJ Band will play a variety of smooth jazz, funk, rock and fusion tunes on Saturday, July 29, featuring the musical mastery of Coo Moe Jhee on bass, Joe Lisa on guitar/violin and Bill Bang on drums.

“Please come on down and enjoy a live performance by these talented musicians, while relaxing with a fresh homemade dinner,” said Kathy Farese, co-owner of the landmark restaurant. “There is no rushing you out the door here. We want you to stay a while for another fun night at Waves on Main.”

Entertainment begins at 7 p.m., giving everyone plenty of time to make their dinner choices from chef and co-owner Lou Farese’s menu of contemporary coastal American cuisine — a full selection of classic seafood, steak and chicken entrees, each specially prepared to order and served with a house salad or soup.

But don’t forget to begin with its appetizers, which include bacon-wrapped scallops, sautéed mussel and clams, and jumbo shrimp cocktail — plump, juicy and served with a tangy sauce and lemon wedge.

For dinner, fine steaks and seafood are Chef Lou’s signature dishes, including several of the most popular entries that combine both. His New York strip steak is grilled to your liking, and paired with stuffed shrimp and roasted vegetables. And “Steak and Cake” boasts a 12-ounce, hand-cut New York strip steak with a plentiful homemade crabcake, served with specially prepared cocktail and sriracha sauce.

For dessert —whether you enjoy it after dinner or bring it home — Waves on Main is serving up the sweet and sumptuous creations of Deescakes of Freehold, including homemade pies, cakes, tarts and its highly acclaimed cheesecake.

Located on the corner of Main Street and 10th Avenue, Waves on Main is open Tuesday through Friday for lunch and dinner, and Saturday and Sunday, for brunch, lunch and dinner.

To verify hours of operation or make reservations, call 732-503-7137 or visit Waves on Main’s Facebook page for the latest news and menu updates.
