BELMAR, NJ — At Waves on Main, customers say it best when it comes to describing their dining experience at the landmark restaurant, which features a classic American menu with a contemporary coastal flair. Here’s a sampling of reviews from the past several weeks.

  • "The food was amazing and the service was great. Kathy and Lou go out of their way to make sure everyone is welcomed and happy with their meal and service. There's enough variety of food for everyone to find something without being an overwhelming menu … Highly recommend this place!"
  • "The service was amazing. The food was made to perfection. We ordered everything from steak to fish. The menu offered enough to all … Kathy was pleasant and accommodating and so were her staff … Never once did we feel like we were being rushed out. Parking was plentiful.  Do yourself a favor/flavor and go enjoy Waves on Main. I can't wait to go back."
  • "The food was excellent! Not like some of the other large corporate restaurants where the food is more like "fast food". The service was also excellent. Very friendly people who made my wife and I feel comfortable. This place is worth a try!"
  • "Kathy and Lou and their entire team bring a spirit of hospitality and pride to Waves on Main. Very good food with superb, fun service. Attentive, warm atmosphere; quality food and personal interaction from the moment my group stepped near the door. (We) will be back soon, and often!"

For Waves on Main owners Lou and Kathy Farese, nothing is more rewarding than knowing their customers are enjoying food and service delivered the Waves on Main way — fresh made-to-order entrees, served in a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere.

“We are not a trend restaurant or part of a large corporation,” Kathy said. “We are old school and want people to come in and sit down for a homemade meal where there is no rushing you out the door. We want you to stay, like family.”
