Spreading the Word About Mary's Place by the Sea

Our team at Mary’s Place by the Sea is thrilled to share the news that Grammy Award-winning artists Sarah McLachlan and Patty Griffin are joining together for “An Intimate Evening of Music” to benefit the guests of Mary’s Place.

On July 28, these esteemed musicians performed some of their greatest hits for a sold-out show at the Paramount Theatre in Asbury Park. All proceeds from the event will benefit Mary’s Place by the Sea, a respite home for women who are receiving treatment for cancer, located just a block from the Atlantic Ocean in Ocean Grove.

Our organization offers guests an array of holistic, nonclinical cancer care services, such as oncology massage, reiki therapy, nutrition education, counseling and much more. Our 10-bedroom home welcomes women from around the country to visit for just a few hours or up to two nights, to focus on their healing: mind, body and soul. All of our services are provided at no cost to our guests, thanks to the generosity of corporations, individual supporters and third-party fundraising events like this benefit concert.

Our hearts are filled with gratitude by their willingness to raise awareness and funds to support women in their time of extreme need. Mary’s Place by the Sea has been blessed by all the individuals who purchased tickets to this sold-out show; we look forward to this opportunity to come together and positively impact the lives of thousands of women with cancer.

Since our founding in 2009, we have been fortunate to welcome more than 8,000 women through our doors. Mary’s Place by the Sea was built and continues to operate through the love and dedication of our volunteers, donors, and our guest community which has grown to be nationwide.
