Belmar Police Department reported the following arrests occurred in Belmar and Lake Como from December 2, 2017 to December 31, 2017.

BELMAR

Timothy Strain, 59, of Belmar was arrested on 16th Avenue on December 2 by Det. Lt. Michael Campbell, charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and use/under the influence of CDS.

Michelle Karcher, 37, of Long Branch was arrested on Route 35 on December 8 by Police Officer Anthony Steneck, charged with 11 counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, 11 counts of possession of CDS not in original container, two counts of use or possession with the intent to use and one count of distributing CDS.

Sean Brooks, 37, of Belmar was charged with simple assault after his December 8 arrest on 13th Avenue by Police Officer Erik Lieb.

John Lawrence, 55, of Belmar was charged with contempt on an outstanding warrant after his December 10 arrest on 10th Avenue by Police Officer Lawrence Kelly.

Christine Brady, 31, of Belmar was charged with contempt on an outstanding warrant after her December 12 arrest on 13th Avenue by Police Officer Philip Bohrman.

Lisa Peres, 31, of Farmingdale was arrested on December 17 on Route 35 by Police Officer Patrick McGill on an outstanding warrant.

William Rodriguez, 19, of Belmar was charged as a fugitive from justice after his December 17 arrest on 13th Avenue by Police Officer Timothy Yee.

Ashley Coppola, 29, of Belmar was arrested on December 17 on 16th Avenue by Police Officer Patrick McGill, charged with simple assault.

Walter Sorto, 19, of Baltimore was arrested on December 23 on Route 35 by Special Officer Kevin Marron, charged with driving while under the influence, underage DUI, refusal to submit to a breath test, being an unlicensed driver, having an open container in a vehicle and reckless driving.

Scott McGrath, 31, of Belmar was charged with contempt on an outstanding warrant after his December 28 arrest on Main Street by Police Officer Erik Lieb.

LAKE COMO

Louis Dilieto, 46, of Lake Como was charged with contempt on an outstanding warrant after his December 17 arrest on 22nd Avenue by Special Officer James Groome.

Brian Rossi, 28, of Teaneck was arrested on Main Street on December 18 by Police Officer Erik Lieb, charged with disorderly conduct.

Jeffrey Starnes, 25, of Palm Bay, Fla., was arrested on 16th Avenue December 27by Police Officer Peter Speakman, charged with simple assault.

Ethan Chu, 20, of Beaverton, Ore., was arrested on Margerum Avenue on December 31 by Police Officer Timothy Yee, charged with possession of marijuana, and use or possession with the intent to use.

Alison Howell, 21, of Lake Como was arrested on Margerum Avenue on December 31 by Police Officer Timothy Yee, charged with possession of marijuana, and use or possession with the intent to use.
