HAMILTON, NJ — The Center for Non-Profits, New Jersey’s umbrella organization for the charitable community, will convene more than 550 attendees for the largest annual gathering of nonprofit leaders and allies at its 2018 New Jersey Nonprofit Conference on December 5 at The Palace at Somerset Park, Somerset.

This all-day event attracts professionals throughout the state from nonprofit organizations, major funders, corporate sponsors, exhibitors, government officials and consultants. This year’s theme, Raising the Voices of Our Communities, emphasizes that more than ever it is essential to ensure that New Jersey nonprofits embrace, represent, and amplify the voices of our multiple constituencies in mission, deed and impact.

Czipo, president and CEO of the Center for Non-Profits. “In these tumultuous times, one thing that remains the same is that New Jersey nonprofits are at the forefront of making our communities, state and nation better, stronger places to live and work. This conference will cover a wide range of topics that non-profit organizations from all 21 counties must face, individually and collectively, in order to remain strong for the future and for the communities we serve.”

Morning keynote speaker will be Leslie R. Crutchfield, author of "How Change Happens: Why Some Social Movements Succeed While Others Don’t" and executive director of Georgetown University’s Global Social Enterprise Initiative. Luncheon keynote presentation, “How Emotional Challenges Shape a Diverse Nonprofit,” will be co-presented by Antionette Kerr of Bold & BrightMedia and Kim Pevia of K.A.P. Inner Prizes. 

In addition to the plenary presentations, event participants can choose from a variety of in-depth breakout sessions tailored to every nonprofit career level and headed by leaders in the sector. Topics will include: advancing mission through advocacy; creating a more inclusive board; communications to break through the clutter; trends in philanthropy; nonprofit lifecycles; teambuilding; media relations; a special session on Census 2020 and making all voices count; and many more programs.
