Art Review & Critique Group

Whether you have been making art for a week or years, the goal of this new group is simple: to improve your artwork — both technically and creatively in a comfortable, encouraging environment. Everyone’s taste is relative; however there are certain characteristic of any artwork (photography, painting, sculpture, etc) that can be evaluated on an artist’s success at conveying the intended message or meaning of their work. The group will give feedback on art based on defined protocol for your discipline. All media is welcome.

Participants are encouraged to bring physical examples, however digital images are acceptable. Depending on the attendance at any given meeting, there may not be time for everyone’s work to be reviewed. This is a community of artist sharing; thoughts expressed may just be what you need to strengthen your creativity and enrich your technical skills. Volunteer group facilitators are: Dorie Dahlberg, Rebecca R. Miller and Michael S. Miller.

If you would like to attend, please email Beverly@visionsworkshops.net by the Wednesday before the group session.

To the Editor:

The November 14 op-ed by New Jersey Audubon’s lobbyist Kelly Mooij titled, “Sustained, Severe Cuts Equal Setbacks at NJ DEP” paints a misleading picture of how effectively the N.J. Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is carrying out our mission. Ms. Mooij’s false assertions demonstrate a fundamental misunderstanding of how DEP operates to protect ...
