CANCELED: Belmar Zoning Board of Adjustment Meeting

Please take notice that the Belmar Zoning Board Meeting scheduled for March 26, 2020 has
been canceled as a result of prevention/management/control issues associated with the
coronavirus.

The March 26, 2020 Agenda had included, but was not necessarily limited to, the
following items:

Adoption of Minutes/Resolutions

Petitions from the Public:

 Len and Kristen Forsyth Application 1599 Maplewood Road, Belmar, NJ. Bulk variance relief associated with proposed Improvements (including a porch) to an existing single-family dwelling.

 Michelle Fontanez application 214 13th Avenue Belmar, NJ. Variance relief associated with a request to install a number of improvements to an existing single family dwelling, including an addition, garage and pool.

 Daniel DeFranco 1905 Surf Avenue Belmar, NJ. Appeal of the zoning officer decision relative to a second driveway/curb-cut at the site.

The above-referenced items will be carried to the April 23, 2020 Belmar Zoning Board Meeting at 7 p.m. The meeting will take place in the Borough Council Chambers/Municipal Court, 601 Main Street, Belmar, NJ.

Other applications/items may be placed on the April 23, 2020 Agenda as well. Formal action may be taken. Residents are encouraged to monitor the municipal website/bulletins for further

 

The Belmar Zoning Board of Adjustment is responsible for reviewing variance applications, hearing appeals of the decisions of the zoning officer, and ruling on such other matters as the law allows. Property owners within 200 feet of properties that are the subject of applications before the board of adjustment are notified of the application. All plans and application documents are on file with the board secretary and are available for inspection and review during normal business hours at least 10 days prior to the hearing on the application.

All taxpayers, residents and other interested parties are welcome to voice opinions, concerns or support during the public comment portion of the hearing on the application.
