BELMAR, NJ — In a world dominated by online and big-box shopping, the Belmar Arts Center is making this holiday season a bit more personal — by offering the gift of art from a medley of artists during two upcoming events.
Affordable Art: A Holiday Sales Exhibit, to be held from November 28 through December 28, will showcase artwork that is both affordable and appealing to general audiences. The works in this exhibit will be smaller than 11×14 inches and priced less than $100.
Artists are invited to submit pieces in any artistic medium, and works can be framed or unframed. Pedestals will be available for small 3D works. Each artist can present up to five works that fit this criteria, with one entry fee covering all five works.
All works must be for sale and Belmar Arts will retain a 25 percent sales commission fee for members and 40 percent for nonmembers.
The registration deadline is Wednesday, November 21. Membership can be added during registration. If a work is sold during the exhibit, it may be replaced with a similar work at no extra charge.

Also from November 28 through December 28, the arts center will hold its Members’ Showcase Exhibition, featuring three artists chosen by a select BAC committee based on “the quality and consistency of their body of work.”.
Belmar Arts Center is located at 608 River Road, situated at the corner of Seventh Avenue near the railroad tracks. Gallery hours are 1 to 5 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday.
