WALL NJ — The Monmouth County DWI Task Force will conduct a driving while intoxicated checkpoint on Route 138 in Wall Township from 10 p.m. today, July 5 through 2 a.m. tomorrow, July 6.

Task force members and Wall police officers will pull over vehicles from the highway's westbound lanes into a dental office parking lot, where drivers will be evaluated to determine a their sobriety, said Allenhurst Police Chief Michael B Schneider, task force coordinator.

Police also encourage individuals to report any drivers posing a hazard because of poor driving behaviors. The aggressive driver tip line can be called from a hands-free mobile device by dialing #77. Be ready to give a description of the vehicle and occupants, a location and direction, and a license plate, if possible.
