For Belmar residents, today, December 16, is the deadline to get your presents to Public Works for Santa's ride.
BELMAR/LAKE COMO, NJ — Santa and his helpers will be making an early visit to Belmar and Lake Como on Wednesday, December 18.
He will be riding through both communities on a Belmar fire truck delivering wrapped holiday gifts to everyone on his special list beginning at 4 p.m. in Belmar and at 5 p.m. in Lake Como.
During his visit, Santa will be assisted by the Belmar Fire, Police and Public Works Departments.
To get a child on either route, gifts that are wrapped and clearly labeled can be dropped off at the following locations:
■ For Belmar children – Belmar Public Works Department, 805 13thAvenue, between 7 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. weekdays through Monday, December 16. For more information, call Michael Campbell, director of Public Works, at 732-681-0452.
■ For Lake Como children – Gifts needed to be dropped off to borough hall by Friday, December 13. For more information, call borough hall at 732-681-3232, ext 0.
Make sure each gift’s label includes the child’s name and the delivery address (Belmar and Lake Como addresses only, to the corresponding locations above). There are no guaranteed arrival times for Santa's visit to each home.
