Reminder: July 31 Deadline for School Board Candidacy Approaching

Belmar and Lake Como residents who want to run for election on their respective board of education must file nominating petitions with the Monmouth County Clerk's Office by 4 p.m., Monday, July 31. That's the deadline for their names to appear on the November 7 General Election ballot.

BELMAR, NJ — Eight Belmar Elementary School students have earned Superintendent Awards for the 2016-2017 school year.

They received the honor at the Belmar Board of Education meeting on June 29 from Superintendent David Hallman for earning a grade point average of 93 or better for the entire school year.

BELMAR, NJ — As Belmar Elementary School celebrated the graduation of its 55-member eighth-grade class on June 15, there was a common thread running through the remarks made during the event — the school will always be family.
