BELMAR, NJ — Because Belmar’s municipal offices will be closed on Presidents Day, recyclables will be collected by public works on the following day — Tuesday, February 18.
However, there will be regular trash collection on Monday, February 17 for residents in Zone 1 — from Ocean Avenue to B Street — since DeLisa Waste Services, the borough’s contracted refuse hauler, will be working on the holiday.
All residents are reminded to make sure that their receptacles are out at the curb by no later than 6 a.m. on any collection day. They also are encouraged to use the Recycling Coach app, which provides recycling and garbage collection schedules based on addresses, as well as information on recycling rules, including what is and what is not recyclable.
Click here to visit the Belmar website where there is information on Recycling Coach and to obtain the free app from the Apple and Google Play stores.
For more information about recycling or regular trash collection, call the Public Works Department at 732-681-0452 or email DPW@belmar.com.
