Join Shop Owner Sarah Taylor Izzo in Creating Face Masks for Health Care Workers

OCEAN GROVE, NJ — Serenity by the Sea’s wondrous mix of merriment is now showcased on its new website, with free shipping on all merchandise being offered through March.

This comes at a time when the “little shop of wonder and amazement,” located at 53 Main Avenue in Ocean Grove, is closed due to helping to keep everyone safe during the coronavirus outbreak.

“I am missing my store like crazy, but it is a temporary moment in time,” said shop owner Sarah Taylor Izzo. “We will be back, stronger and smarter than before. We are all in this together. Stay loving and kind.”

Izzo has been busy contributing to efforts to provide health care workers with face masks. She’s been at home sewing them in her own special way — from the same vibrant and colorful fabrics she uses to handcraft her stores line of home textiles.

If you’d like to contribute or find out how you can make masks, send her a Facebook message by clicking here.

Meanwhile, visit Serenity by the Sea’s new website, which provides a glimpse into the little shop of wonder and amazement, and where many of its handcrafted and specialty items can be ordered online.

One new item is its line of Serenity Treasures — a package of seven “surprise” items chosen to “to keep the zen state of mind flowing,” Izzo said. “Each Serenity Treasure package contains seven items that are lovingly chosen by us, and each item is wrapped individually with peace and loving intention.”

Also featured is Serenity by the Sea’s new tote bag, featuring original ‘Groovin’ in the Grove” artwork and made from sturdy canvas with strong handles — ideal for carrying books or taking to the beach.

Do you want to remove the negative energy around you? Get yourself a bundle of sage sticks. The burning of sage is a ritual handed down from Native American civilizations that is said to help people achieve a sense of calm and heighten relaxation, similar to meditation.

And with the focus on cleanliness and good hygiene in these times of “stopping the spread” of COVID-19, Serenity by the Sea’s own line of scented bath soaps are available on line. Handcrafted from olive, coconut, soybean an sunflowers oils and organic shea butter, these soaps are paraben and palm-oil free and contain natural fragrances that are blended to make each soap smell exotic, unique and inviting.

At Serenity by the Sea, it’s always about creating beautiful things and introducing specialty items that includes handcrafted and fair trade treasures, one-of-a-kind artwork, eco-friendly merchandise, and personal care items that relieve stress and promote relaxation, including CBD oils and creams.

Izzo is known for her custom-designed lines of hotholders and other home textiles, tutus for children and pets, bracelets and affirmation art. In fact, her keen eye for items that are “deliciously delightful and zenful” makes a visit to Serenity by the Sea a different experience every time. And now many of these items are offered on its website.
