OCEAN GROVE, NJ — Serenity by the Sea in Ocean Grove will feature Diane Todd, who will offer instruction in emotional freedom technique (EFT) tapping today, November 3 from 9 to 10:45 a.m.
Called the “one-minute miracle,” this holistic technique is used to free people from phobias, anxiety disorder, anger, guilt, grief, physical pain, emotionally based illness and much more, according to Todd. It involves a series of gentle tapping on strategic acupoints of the upper body to help resolve a specific problem or issue.
The technique is quick to use, easy to learn and works in conjunction with other therapies, said Todd, a certified reiki master/teacher, who also practices craniosacral therapy, integrated energy therapy, reconnective healing, among others. “EFT is an amazing process that allows your emotions their well-deserved freedom.”
Cost is $25. Call 973-699-1760 to reserve your space at the shop, located at 53 Main Avenue, Ocean Grove.
These events are part of Serenity by the Sean’s continuing ‘It’s All Within the Zen” series, which features a variety of artistic and holistic offerings. For more information on upcoming programs and workshops, visit its Facebook page.
A Little Shop of Wonders: Celebrating One Year in Ocean Grove … with a Special Gift
Serenity by the Sea owner Sarah Taylor Izzo is marking her specialty boutique’s one-year anniversary in Ocean Grove by giving back. From November 3 through Thanksgiving, November 28, she will be donating 14 percent of her sales to Mary’s Place by the Sea, a respite home for women with cancer also located in Ocean Grove.
“Can’t think of a better way to celebrate one year in my amazing and magical place of love,” she said. “So stop on in, get a bit of holiday shopping done and also know that some of your gift giving will benefit an amazing organization.”
At Serenity by the Sea, it’s always about creating beautiful things and introducing specialty items that includes handcrafted and fair trade treasures, one-of-a-kind artwork, eco-friendly merchandise, and personal care items that relieve stress and promote relaxation, including CBD oils and creams.
What’s more, shop owner Sarah Taylor Izzo is known for her custom-designed lines of hotholders and other home textiles, tutus for children and pets, bracelets and affirmation art.
In fact, Izzo’s keen eye for items that are “deliciously delightful and zenful” makes a visit to Serenity by the Sea a different experience every time.
For example, she recently introduced an expansive line of her “Just Charming” line of DIY jewelry, which includes hundreds of different styles and shapes of charms that can be used to create keychains, necklaces and bracelets.
Serenity by the Sea also showcases featured vendors on a regular basis, including NJ Hair Fairy Kate Bresso who does her magic with Luna Locks sparkling hair extensions. Watch for details on her next visit.
To complement the shop’s ever-changing mix of merriment, there is a selection of blooms of the season beginning every weekend on Fresh Flower Friday.
