HOWELL, NJ — Jade Glab of Belmar has been crowned Miss Central Jersey Beaches, earning her the opportunity once again to compete for the title of Miss New Jersey.
Glab is the first-ever winner in this new preliminary to the Miss New Jersey pageant this year, open to candidates who live, work or attend school in central New Jersey. In 2018, she held the title of Miss Monmouth County and emerged among the top 11 contestants in the statewide contest, whose winner went on to the Miss America competition last September.
In addition to Glab, Kyra Seeley of Middlesex was crowned Miss Central Jersey in the pageant, held January 5 at Howell High School. Both will compete in the Miss New Jersey Pageant to be held in June in Ocean City.
“I am looking forward to a fantastic year alongside sister queen, Kyra Seeley … and my Miss New Jersey family,” Glab wrote on her Facebook page. “A huge thank-you to all of our sponsors, and my friends and family for making this dream of mine possible … Looking forward to this incredible journey.”
A graduate of Red Bank Regional High School, Glab is a student at Brookdale Community College, Lincroft. The 19-year-old is the daughter of Ronald and Patricia Glab, who is a longtime teacher at Belmar Elementary School.
Miss Central Jersey Beaches is supported by the Miss New Jersey Education Foundation of the Miss America Organization, one of the nation's leading achievement programs and the world's largest provider of scholarship assistance for young women.
