WOODBRIDGE, NJ - The seeds have been released for the District 14 Wrestling Tournament at Woodbridge High School on Saturday. First round starts at 10:00 a.m. with the finals tentatively set to begin at 4:30 p.m. With 10 teams in the tournament, the Highlanders have qualified in 12 weight classes.

Most schools in the state qualify for the district tournament regardless of the team's record during the regular season. The top three place winners in each weight class will advance to the regional tournament, which takes place next weekend. From there, the top three place winners at regionals compete for an individual state title in a tournament that is held the first weekend in March.

  • 120 pounds - #3 seed sophomore David Vill (17-14)

  • 132 pounds - #6 seed freshman Conner Vill (5-8)
  • 138 pounds - #4 seed senior Anthony Santigate (18-9)
  • 145 pounds - #7 seed sophomore James Snyder (18-14)
  • 152 pounds - #9 seed freshman Joseph Scalora 0-9
  • 170 pounds - #3 seed junior Quinn Haddad (28-2)
  • 182 pounds - #1 seed senior Turner Haddad ( 27-3)
  • 220 pounds - #8 seed sophomore Damon Ippolito (2-9)
  • 285 pounds - #3 seed senior Dan Tomlinson (23-5)

Gov. Livingston will be competing in the District 14 Tournament against fellow high school varsity wrestlers from Bayonne, Brearley, Christ The King, Cranford, J.P. Stevens, Middlesex, North Plainfield, South Plainfield, Woodbridge.

The NJSIAA District Wrestling Tournament is the first of three steps that lead to an individual state title in the sport.
