"A Taste of Italy" Dinner is in its 68th Year!

 

The Knights of Columbus, Council 783 serving Little Flower, Our Lady of Peace and St. Teresa’s parishes will sponsor 'A Taste of Italy' dinner at Our Lady of Peace auditorium, 111 South St., New Providence on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2011 from 4:00 in the afternoon until 6:30 in the evening.

This annual Italian feast, originally called "The Spaghetti Supper", started at Our Lady of Peace by Rose Mazzucco and friends back in 1943. The original sauce for the spaghetti was developed by Mrs. Mazzucco and forty gallons will be cooked by parish ladies to this recipe.

After several years, members of the Knights carried on the tradition with the help of parishioners from the three parishes, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights and friends from the public communities.

This year, in addition to the "Mazzucco" Spaghetti and Meatballs, attendees will also have a choice of Italian Sausage & Peppers, Cavatelli & Broccoli or all three.

The menu will also include fresh salad, fresh baked Italian rolls, Nasto’s Ice Cream Desserts and beverages. The full menu will also be available for 'take-out’.

The price for adults is $15:00, seniors $12:00, children 6 to 12 $5:00, children under 6 are free (The maximum for a family is $35.00). The public is invited so bring your friends and come out for a great evening.
