Marilyn Askin, J. D., New Jersey AARP Chief Legislative Counsel, will speak to the Old Guard of Summit at its Monday, October 11th Ladies' Day Luncheon at the Grand Ballroom of the Grand Summit Hotel.  Askin will address the impact of the New Health Reform Act on average citizens, particularly senior citizens.

Askin is a recognized authority on Elder Law.  An attorney and former teacher, she is an adjunct professor at Rutgers and has served as President of NJ AARP.  The new Health Reform Act is long, complex and much misunderstood.  Askin's presentation promises to clarify the meaning, effect and consequences of the new law.  Audience members will have the opportunity to ask Askin questions.

All age 50-plus active men are invited to attend the Tuesday morning meetings of the Summit Area Old Guard.  Meetings are held at the New Providence Municipal Center, 360 Elkwood Avenue, New Providence.  A coffee hour starts at 9:15 a.m., followed by a 10:00 a.m. business meeting brightened by singing and humor.  The speaker begins at 10:30 a.m.
