BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - Ahoy, matey! A full out Pirate invasion hit Playground Camp on Monday as the campers started off their week with a Pirate Show, while staff members did their best "Jack Sparrow" imitation -- sporting bandanas, tattoos, eye patches and heavy eyeliner.

Approximately 300 campers were gathered under the pavilion at Columbia Park for this Pirate Show. The visiting actors told a fun pirate tale, teaching the children about the life of a pirate through silly interactive play.

Summer Playground Camp, offered through the Berkeley Heights Recreation Department, combines the best of a summer outdoor recreation with "special events"  that include Petting Zoo, Tie-Dying, Face Painting, Martial Arts Demonstration, Fire Truck Wet Down, Wet and Wild Water Days, and, new this year, Ventriloquist Show and Pirate Show -- and much, much more.
