WASHINGTON, D.C. --- Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-07) congratulated Alexander Frolov of Berkeley Heights for being selected to represent the Seventh Congressional District in the U.S. House Student App Challenge.

The contest invited high school students from across the Nation to create software applications, or apps, for mobile, tablet, or computer devices on a platform of their choice.

Alexander designed Hill Happenings, an app that extracts information from the daily congressional reports that are posted on Congress.gov and automatically summarizes them into bite-sized news containing only the most important information. Kevin Zhang of Scotch Plains and Mohnish Sabhani (not pictured) also worked on the Hill Happenings app.
