June 23, 2011 (Newark, NJ)– BET’s 106 & Park hosts the 1st Annual Newark Super Fest to benefit the Newark Youth One-Stop Career Center “U Work Behind The Music” program on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at 7 p.m. at Newark Bears Stadium.
Presented by Messiah Entertainment, Black Rose Entertainment, Lamar Entertainment and in association with Vegas Style Entertainment the first annual Newark Super Fest hosted by BET’s 106 & Park stars Rocsi and DJ Pro Style and will be a night of music and empowerment. The evening will feature live performances by hip hop stars including Miguel, YC, Olivia, Joe Budeden, Vado, Maino, J-Holiday and Slick Rick will have the crowds dancing to the beats. New Jersey’s own stars including Aresenal, The Rebel, Chad-B, O Solo, Louie Jay & Pay Dai, Hommy Hom, DJ Frosty and Tim Dollar will also take the stage to rock the mic.
Special guest Dashun “Jiwe” Morris author of War of the Bloods in My Veins and star of Sundance Channel’s Brick City will present a special motivation speech to the event’s attendees. His appearance will be filmed for a future episode of the BrickCity series.
A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit Newark Youth One Stop Career Center U Work Behind the Music program that helps teach young adults how to get into the entertainment industry.
